Here is a recipe for ribbon pakoda:
Ingredients:
1 cup gram flour (besan)
1/2 cup rice flour
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 tsp ajwain seeds
1/4 tsp asafoetida
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
3 tbsp ghee, melted
Water, as needed
Oil, for frying
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the gram flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, ajwain seeds, asafoetida, red chili powder, and salt.
Add the melted ghee and mix well.
Gradually add water and mix to form a soft dough.
Fill a deep-fryer or heavy-bottomed pot with oil and heat to 350°F (180°C).
Divide the dough into small balls.
Roll out each ball into a thin rope or ribbon shape.
Carefully drop the dough into the hot oil and deep-fry until it turns a golden brown color.
Remove the ribbon pakoda from the oil and drain on a paper towel.
Repeat with the remaining dough.
Serve the ribbon pakoda hot, with a cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy!
