Potato kabab is a popular snack or appetizer in Indian cuisine. It is made by grating potatoes and mixing them with spices and herbs, shaping the mixture into small patties or balls, and frying them until they are crisp and golden brown.
To make potato kabab, you will need the following ingredients:
4 medium potatoes
1 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
2 tablespoons finely chopped green chili peppers
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon garam masala
Salt, to taste
Oil, for frying
Instructions:
Boil the potatoes until they are tender, then peel and grate them.
In a large bowl, mix the grated potatoes with the coriander leaves, green chili peppers, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, garam masala, and salt.
Shape the mixture into small patties or balls.
Heat a pan over medium heat and add enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
Place the potato kababs in the pan and fry them until they are golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side.
Remove the kababs from the pan and drain them on a paper towel.
Serve the potato kababs hot, with your choice of dipping sauce or chutney.
You can also bake the potato kababs instead of frying them, if you prefer a healthier option. To do this, preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the kababs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy
