Eggs Salad
Egg salad is a simple and classic dish made with boiled eggs that are diced or chopped and mixed with mayonnaise and other ingredients such as mustard, diced celery, diced onion, and salt and pepper. It is typically served on bread as a sandwich or on lettuce as a salad. Here's a basic recipe for egg salad:
Ingredients:
4 large eggs
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon mustard
1 celery stalk, finely diced
1 tablespoon finely diced onion
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil, then remove the pan from the heat and cover it with a lid. Let the eggs sit in the hot water for about 10-12 minutes.
Drain the hot water from the saucepan and replace it with cold water. Let the eggs sit in the cold water for a few minutes to cool.
Peel the eggs and dice them into small pieces.
In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, mustard, celery, onion, salt, and pepper.
Add the diced eggs to the mayonnaise mixture and stir to combine.
Serve the egg salad on bread as a sandwich, or on lettuce as a salad. You can also add other ingredients such as diced tomato or avocado to the egg salad, or serve it with crackers or as a topping for a baked potato. Enjoy
